PIP Functional Assessor – Bridgend (Hybrid)
Starting salary £39,500 + bonuses
We’re looking for registered healthcare professionals to join our team as PIP Functional Assessors in Bridgend, offering structured hours, hybrid working and excellent long‑term flexibility.
This role is ideal if you’re looking to move away from frontline clinical pressures while still using your professional expertise in a meaningful way.
Salary & benefits
- £39,500 starting salary
- £1,000 bonus on passing training
- 10% annual performance-related bonus
- Hybrid working model
- Monday–Friday only
- No nights, weekends or on-call
Working pattern
- Full time for the first 18 weeks (training and consolidation period)
- Part-time options available thereafter – 3 or 4 days per week
- Stable, predictable working hours to support work–life balance
The role
As a PIP Functional Assessor, you’ll carry out structured assessments, review supporting medical evidence and produce detailed, objective reports to help determine eligibility for Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
Full, paid training is provided, along with ongoing clinical support and quality feedback, ensuring you feel confident in the role from day one.
Who we’re looking for
You must be a registered healthcare professional with:
- NMC - RGN/RMN/RNLD NB this role is not suitable for RSCN or Midwives
- HCPC - Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Paramedic, this role is not suitable for any other HCPC registrants
- At least 12 months post-registration clinical experience
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
- Confidence working to guidelines and structured assessment processes
